Getting Started

How do I create a Proofy account?

Create an account at Proofy, sign in to your dashboard, and choose the verification workflow you need.

Is Proofy free?

You can use the Free Email Checker for one-off checks. New users can also start with 5,000 verification credits for $5 to test bulk verification or API workflows.

What can I verify?

Proofy supports single-address checks, uploaded CSV or TXT lists, and API-based verification for forms, apps, CRMs, and automated workflows.

Email Verification

What results does Proofy return?

Primary statuses include Valid, Invalid, Risky, and Unknown. Additional signals can identify catch-all, disposable, role-based, and other address conditions.

Does Proofy send an email to the address being checked?

No. Verification uses technical signals such as syntax, domain, MX, mail-server, and mailbox-level responses without sending a real message.

What should I do with Risky or Unknown results?

Risky and Unknown results should be reviewed separately instead of automatically treating them as Valid. Catch-all and restricted mail servers can limit mailbox-level certainty.

Bulk Verification

Which file formats can I upload?

Proofy supports CSV and TXT files for bulk verification.

How do I verify a list?

Upload your file, start verification, review the result categories, and export the completed file for your next workflow.

How large can a bulk file be?

The bulk workflow supports large lists. Current limits and package options are shown in the Proofy dashboard and pricing page.

API & Integrations

Does Proofy have an API?

Yes. Proofy provides an email verification API for real-time and automated workflows. Developers can connect verification to forms, applications, CRMs, backend services, and scheduled jobs.

Where can I find implementation details?

Use the Proofy API documentation for authentication, request formats, response examples, and current implementation details.

Can I use both bulk verification and the API?

Yes. Teams can use file-based bulk verification for uploaded lists and API-based validation for real-time or automated workflows.

Credits & Billing

How much does Proofy cost?

Proofy offers pay-as-you-go and subscription options. New users can start with 5,000 verification credits for $5.

Do credits expire?

Proofy credits do not expire, so unused credits remain available for future verification.

Where can I see current pricing?

Visit the Pricing page for current packages, volume pricing, and subscription options.

Data & Privacy

Does Proofy sell uploaded email lists?

No. Proofy does not sell uploaded email lists. Data handling is governed by Proofy's Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, GDPR information, and Data Processing Agreement.

How long is verification data retained?

Proofy's current Data Processing Agreement states that personal data and verification results are retained for up to 60 days, unless a longer period is legally required.

Can I delete my data?

Users can delete data through the service, subject to the applicable retention and legal requirements described in Proofy's policies and DPA.
